Numbers

You can interchange the number on the hanger, and add or take away clothespins for sums of any number. Use for tally marks too! Found this one on Pinterest (of course!) :0)

Fall Trees

This is awesome! It comes from pikadilly charm blog.

Brown paper lunch bags
-Scissors
-Glue
-Paper (Fall colors)

The how to:

1- Cut lunch bag into half inch strips. Start at the opening and cut half way down the bag.
2- Open bag and stand it up.
3- Hold base of bag with one hand and twist the middle of bag to create the trunk of the tree.
4- (example of finished trunk)
5- Twist two of the bag strips together to create branches.
6- (example of finished branches)
7- Rip strips of colored paper into tiny pieces and glue them all over the branches of the tree.
Done.

Halloween Pumpkin

Each child painted their rendition of an orange circle on the paint easel. The next day we used green finger paint and their hands to add stems with leaves. (You can also use die cut hands instead.) The children glued on pumpkin seeds to finish up this project.

Sticker Fun!

I found this idea on Pinterest. (I know... again!) This one is so versatile. This has birthday stickers which can be used for students on their special day. You can also use Valentine's Day stickers, Christmas stickers, Halloween stickers, 100 day and on and on... Enjoy!

Descriptive Writing

This is great for grades 4 through 12. It is similar to the "Show Me" writing that I do with my Sophomores and Juniors. The premise is the same - taking a simple sentence and making it descriptive. This one uses sticky notes to start the simple sentence and then writing a descriptive paragraph from it.

Another great Teacher Appreciation gift idea

I wanted to add this to the other Teacher Appreciation gifts I've already posted. These are so inexpensive and really let teachers know that they are appreciated for all of their hard work. Teacher Appreciation week is the first of May. It's never too early to start looking for ideas! Enjoy!

Organization

I found these on Pinterest. Great idea! I always color-coded mine but these actually say what's what! I'm thinking that if you use clear Avery labels, you can print them from your own computer and put them on any color clip. It would be more economical that buying them already printed. Enjoy!
